Attention Humanities faculty, staff, and graduate students,

Suspicious e-mails are being sent to many Humnet email account holders asking them to submit personal information to update and access email accounts.  These messages are part of a phishing scam aimed at fraudulently obtaining personal information and should be discarded immediately.

If you have already received one of these emails and have followed the instructions to submit your private information, please change your Humnet password immediately!   The following are instructions on how to change your Humnet password:

Using your 128-bit Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Safari):

1. Go to https://mail.humanities.ucla.edu
   
   
2. In the "Log On" field type your alias or Full name (if your e-mail address were This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , you would type alias= "joebruin" or the full name "Joe Bruin")
   
   
3. In the "Username" and "Password" fields type your alias and Password as indicated above.
   
   
4. Once logged in to your Inbox, select the "Options" icon located on the far left vertical Outlook Toolbar in your web browser (Note: Depending on your screen size and resolution, you may have to scroll down to see the Options icon in the toolbar)
   
   
5. From the Options window, select "Change Password"
   
   
6. On the EXCHANGE PASSWORD SERVICE MANAGER screen enter the following information:
   
   Domain: Humnet
   Account:
   Old Password:
   New Password: (Humanities recommends that you select a complex password using alpha/numeric with 6 characters minimum)
   Confirm New Password: (Please re-type your New Password once more) Then click "OK" to proceed and see the results.
